Errant scrap firmgot £25k off DARD
A Londonderry scrap metal company, which in 2011 admitted four breaches of environmental legislation between September 2005 and November 2007, received £25,000 in funding from DARD in 2007, it’s emerged.
DARD confirmed: “Foyle Recyclers Ltd. received funding of £25,000 in 2007 from the LEADER+ Programme for the purchase of equipment to set up a scrap metal recycling plant at Derry Port.”
TUV MLA Jim Allister had raised the matter at Stormont.
