Euro success for Mounted Games team

The Northern Ireland Under 12 Mounted Games Team, comprised of five local children, have just returned from the European Champions in Belgium with an impressive fourth place.

The team of Mickey Doherty (Ballymena), Erin Dunseath (Randalstown), William Hamilton (Broughshane), James McNabney (Clough) and Brigid Delargy (Cushendall) spent a week in Belgium competing against nine of the other top teams in Europe at their age group.

Mounted games are played in teams of five riders (or in pairs or individually) each mounting a pony and competing in numerous games such as relay races or agility and dexterity games.
