Ever 'present' approach to learning at Woodlawn and Downshire continues in working world

A FORMER Carrick pupil is among seven young people in the North Eastern Education and Library Board area who have amassed a total of 88 years unbroken school attendance between them.

Jordan Bell spent his school career at Woodlawn Primary and Downshire School without a day off and is now working.

Three of the young people were able to attend a meeting of the Board in Antrim to receive full attendance awards while the other four kept up their attendance record at university, college and in employment.

Board Chairman Rev Selwoode Graham commented: “You have enjoyed good health and school must have been a pleasurable experience for you. You have also shown a level of dedication, commitment and determination that is excellent and I hope you will bring that quality, so akin to dependability, into your future employment.”
