Every child deserves a '˜Strong Start'
SDLP Lagan Valley Assembly candidate Pat Catney has pledged a '˜Strong Start' for every child born in the area as the party outlined its commitment to ending the scandal of 59% of families having no savings.
“Under our proposals, the first thing every child will receive after they’re born is an investment of £250 in their future,” said Mr Catney. “Parents can top that up whenever they can and at age 10, we’ll make another £250 investment. In Lisburn and Castlereagh that means we’re committed to investing £438,000 in the future of our young people. We’re committed to building a better future for everyone here.
