A young New Mossley girl is set to have a haircut with a difference this morning, all for a very worthy cause.

Evie Delargy (9) will have a minimum of 10 inches of hair cut this morning, with all of it going to the Little Princess Trust. The hair that Evie will donate will help provide wigs and hair pieces for children who suffer hair loss due to cancer treatment.

A sponsorship page has been set up to collect donations for Evie’s generosity, with the funds going to the Children’s Hospice.

The kind gesture will be taking place at the school she attends, Earlview Primary School.

Speaking to the Times, her gran, Janet Fleming said: “We are all really proud of Evie. She has been growing her hair from when she was a baby, with only short trims over the years. She is known for her long brown hair which goes down past her thigh. We are all very proud she is doing this.”
