Exam accolade for Megan

A STUDENT from Loreto College Coleraine, Specialist School, has gained one of the highest marks awarded in the UK in the OCR GCSE English specifications this year.

Megan McLaughlin gained full marks in the GCSE qualification, placing her among the very top achievers in the UK this year.

Megan, along with her teacher, Mrs Catherine Doherty, was congratulated on this tremendous achievement by Mr Brian Lenehan, Principal of Loreto College.

Head of English, Mrs Caragh Little, attributed Megan’s success to her hard work and academic enthusiasm, adding that it was extremely encouraging for the College’s English Department to achieve such success, giving a fine example to the students who have begun their GCSE studies in recent days.
