Pupils competed on general knowledge and road safety questions in the Mid and East Antrim Borough Council supported initiative.

Thanking participants and partner groups, MEA Deputy Mayor, Cllr Cheryl Johnston, who is secretary of the road safety group, said: “We had an excellent response to this year’s quiz, which is a vital way of educating our young people about road safety.

“We work very closely with our statutory partners, including the PSNI and Policing and Community Safety Partnership, to highlight what steps our citizens can take to protect themselves on our roads.

“Our committee members are dedicated to saving lives through improved road safety and reducing the widespread devastation caused by tragedies on our roads.

“Thank you to all the volunteers and our partners for their time and support of the annual quiz and to the young people for being so attentive, interested and engaged.”
