'Exceptional work' from Roy is rewarded with to honours at prestigious photography awards

BALLYMENA photographer Roy McKeown has been awarded the title of "NI Pictorial Photographer of the Year" and also the winner of the landscape category in the competition.

The awards were presented at the British Institute of Professional Photography Annual Awards ceremony in Wellington Park in Belfast recently.

Speaking on behalf of the judges, Paul Callaghan from Kingsport said: “Roy’s work is exceptional and well deserved to win these prestigious awards."

Roy specialises in landscapes and pictorial photography and the winning image was of a farmstead near Fairhead on the north coast and is on display in the centre mall of the FairHill Shopping Centre.

Roy is no stranger to winning awards and last year won the Master Photographers Association title “UK Landscape and Pictorial Photographer of the Year.”
