Exhibition to mark women’s day

AN exhibition of new artwork by local women will be launched in the Eden Place Arts Centre, Londonderry, tomorrow to mark International Women’s Day.

Entitled a ‘Bird’s Eye View’ the exhibition will commence with an evening’s entertainment.

The evening will include performances by Movers and Shakers; the launch of a ‘Threads of Time’ booklet, an intergenerational work by Pilot’s Row Senior.

Citizens Ladies Group and Pilot’s Row Youth Group; and the launch of ‘Community Threads’ a multi media piece produced by The Senior Citizens Ladies Group of Pilot’s Row along with photographer Sinead Crumlish and storyteller Pat Mulkeen.

Contributing artists include Maura McKee, Justine Scoltock, Roisin O’Donnell, Catherine Ellis, Paddy McNicholl, Mary Kennedy, Cathyann Keaveney, Andrea Redmond, Aine Croston, Mary Mc Laughlin, Brónagh Corr Mc Nicholl, Catherine Duddy, Ashling Ramsey and Sinead Crumlish.

Everyone is welcome. Light refreshments will be served. The exhibition continues until March 22.
