Exhibitionon WWI opens inCreggan

An exciting exhibition chronicling Londonderry's role in World War One will open to the public this Thursday.

Curated by The Templemore Great War History Society, ‘Orange and Green: Derry and The First World War,’ will be on display at The Rathmore Centre, Creggan from 7pm.

It will be launched by Foyle MLA Gerard Diver, who lost family members in the Great War.

He said: “It is an honour to be asked to attend such events. There has clearly been a lot of effort gone into finding and locating the exhibits on show. “I would urge everyone regardless of perceived tradition to visit and examine the artefacts as it is simply fascinating.”

The Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Community Relations Council, The Hon. The Irish Society, Rathmore Enterprises and Guildhall Press have all supported the project.
