Expansion ofBassetts store

The opening of a new showroom will see the branch double in size to showcase its growing range of bathroom and tile designs alongside a broad range of plumbing and heating products.

The company says its Coleraine store will exclusively showcase its high quality range of bathroom and tile designs, alongside inspirational displays, and offer a wide selection of quality bathroom solutions for all budgets.

The showroom expansion is one of two extensions within the Bassetts network in the North West, with the Derry-Londonderry recently launching the company’s first ever tile studio.

In addition, within this new showroom, the company has also invested in cutting edge design technology with the Bassetts Visualiser - a touchscreen based software and the first of its kind in Northern Ireland, allowing homeowners to imagine, design and visualise their own unique bathroom setting for bespoke bathroom solutions.

Locally-founded in 1982, the company, which is now part of the internationally renowned Saint-Gobain Group, has strengthened its operations significantly, almost tripling in size over the last ten years.

Managing Director of Bassetts, Alan Wright, commented, “We are delighted with the success of our new Boucher Road branch, alongside extensive branch expansions in Londonderry and Coleraine.

“Despite the difficulties that many national retailers may be facing in the home improvement market, our bathroom, plumbing and heating business has gone from strength to strength.”

The growth has been fuelled by recent positive movements in the housing market in Northern Ireland.
