Extension plan for Islandmagee pumping station

The application, by Northern Ireland Water, includes an expansion to the site at Millbay to accomodate new underground and overground machinery, as well as new gates and fencing around the extended site.

However, at the Monday’s meeting of Larne Borough Council, Cllr Mark McKinty said there were concerns surrounding ownership of land relating to the appliaction.

He asked the planning officer: “Would it be appropriate to defer matter this until the ownership issue has been clarified?”

The officer responded that any additional information should be provided to the Department in the coming days, and added the final decision on the application is to be held for the time being.
