Alzheimer’s support group

The Alzheimer’s Society is pleased to announce that they have begun a support groups for carers of people living with Dementia in the Moyle area the venue for the group is Corrymeela and it meets on the first Thursday of the month at 7.30pm.

If you are a carer of a loved one with any form of Dementia or someone who has been diagnosed with Dementia why not come along to group. Or if you would like a home visit form our Dementia Support Manager then contact Adrian on 02870358887 to arrange an appointment, Adrian Can offer you Support, Information and sign posting on all areas of caring and any form of Dementia.

Cardiac Group Bus trip

CAUSEWAY Cardiac Support Group is holding a bus trip on Saturday, June 18.

The bus will leave B&Q car park at 10am however will pick anyone up at the Coleraine Hospital gates on the way past and Ballymoney Fire Station at 10.30am. The trip is going to Lisburn City (shopping) and Dobbies Gardening World. A four-course meal at McLaughlin’s Corner will also be on the agenda. Price is £18 per person. Please book early as places are limited.

Mother Goose Open Day

Mother goose community playgroup are holding their open day on Thursday 16th June from 11am - 1pm.

All children who will be 3 years old after 2nd July 2011 are able to attend.

Any child who will reach the age of 2 years 10 months during the term Sept 2011 - june 2012 can register and will be called when a space becomes available. Priority will be given to a child who will attend Jack Horner playgroup during thier pre school year.

Play group operates 4 mornings a week (not Wednesdays) from 9.30 am -12 noon in Sheskburn Community centre. Call in and speak to staff or contact Hazel kirkpatrick 07855309997 for further details.

Rasharkin AGM

RASHARKIN Community Association are holding their Annual General Meeting on Wednesday 15th June at 8.00pm in their office on Main Street (change of venue).

Everyone is welcome to come along to hear reports from the Community Association, Rasharkin Women’s Group, the Youth Club and the History Group.

Your support would be greatly appreciated as we always look forward to hearing your views on what is needed in our village. Refreshments will be served.

Food Safety Week: What goes on behind closed doors!

Castle Kidz Summer Scheme are holding an information evening, at Derrykeighan community hall, to raise awareness of food safety within the home.

The event will take place on Friday 17th June 7-9pm. Refreshments on sale to raise funds for Castle Kidz Summer scheme – registration will also take place on the night.
