Andy King believes Larne has unfairly gained a bad reputation throughout the province and beyond.

And he took it upon himself to set up a Facebook page highlighting some of the many positive aspects which are often overlooked.

The site, dubbed ‘Larne Renovation Generation’, focuses on Larne’s built heritage and aims to keep up to date with regeneration efforts in the town.

Andy told the Times: “Everyone is fully aware of the negative stigma that blights our town. I set up this group to remind the people of Larne that they live in one of the most scenic, serene spots in NI.

“The site allows people to discuss ideas, no matter how large or small, on what they could do to improve the overall image of Larne and make it better place to live for our families and for future generations.

“I think it is about time we as residents did something to finally shake off Larne’s negative reputation and show the world what a great place this town is.”
