Facebook for PSNI reaches 200,000 followers
The Ballycastle and Ballymoney comunity is getting involved with local policing more than ever with over 200,000 people following the Police Service of Northern Ireland’s social networking pages.
This new milestone across Facebook pages and Twitter accounts has enabled police all over Northern Ireland to maintain a direct link to the communities they serve.
A PSNI spokeswoman said; “Followers on the Ballymoney and Moyle PSNI Facebook pages certainly contribute to the overall figures with 658 people following local police on Facebook.”
The Facebook pages involve discussion on a range of community policing issues including local traffic and travel, ongoing investigations, drugs searches and community events.
