‘Facebook inappropriate for councillors’
A NUMBER of Ballymoney councillors have hit out saying Facebook is an “inappropriate forum” for councillors to discuss Council business.
The minutes of the Council’s Development Committee stated that Councillor Anita Cavlan (Independent) raised the issue of “some members including comments on Council business on Facebook and expressed her view that this is not an appropriate forum to discuss Council business.”
The minutes further stated that Councillor John Finlay (DUP) and Mayor, Councillor Evelyne Robinson (DUP), agreed with the remarks.
