Failed to stop for police

Stephen John McCann, Gilpinstown Road, Lurgan, was also ordered to pay a £15 offender’s levy.

The court heard that on February 18 last year at 11.40am on the Drumellan Road police signalled for the defendant to stop.

McCann slowed his car down before turning into Drumellan Gardens.

When he was spoken to he said that he was running late to pick up his daughter and he knew the police were going to stop him and speak to him.

A barrister representing the defendant said he spent most of his time working in Scotland and liked to spend as much time as possible with his daughter.
