Family appalled after precious ornament vanishes from grave

A LISBURN woman says she is disgusted after a marble bible placed on her mother’s grave vanished.

Sharon Graham and her family were appalled this week when they discovered that the precious ornament was missing.

Sharon, whose mother Elizabeth McFarland, father, brother and baby girl are buried in the Blaris New Cemetery said: “It is disgraceful. I can’t see someone being able to just lift it and carry it away as it is heavy but I don’t know where it has gone.

“If anyone has any information I would be grateful to know as it is very precious to my family.”

She added: “It is has McFarland engraved in gold letters on the back. I’m disgusted at the thought that someone would take it.”
