'Family Fever' pays off for St Patrick's and St Brigid's

FOLLOWING the McQuillan GAC Drama group's production of the Sam Cree comedy 'Family Fever' some of the cast and the director where on hand to present a cheque for £2000 to Mr Fusco the vice-principle at St Patrick's and St Brigid's.

Mr Philip Fusco was delighted to receive such a 'huge sum' and a rousing 3 cheers was giving by the assembled youngsters much to the delight of the cast. Edmund Black (drama group director) stated, 'moments like this make all the long rehearsals and hard work worth while'.

Aidan Boyle McQuillan GAC PRO paid tribune to all the hard work that that is involved in putting on a production and the fundraising that accompanies it.

“The evenings of the play are the enjoyable climax to long hard evenings of rehearsal and set preparation for the cast and crew. A huge tribute must be paid to all those who gave so much of their free time for the club and the primary school to allow us to raise such a significant sum. Thanks too are owed to all the sponsors of this event,” Aidan said.

“The Ballycastle business community must be thanked for their continued support of our club even through this time of economic worry, in particular Quicktag our main club sponsors who play a vital role in allowing McQuillan's to not only provide plays and cultural activities but also the sports and facilities we offer to all ages and abilities,” he added.
