Family fun day at St Mark’s Church

ON Saturday, November 3, St Mark’s will be holding their annual Family Fun Day and Sale.

This all-age event is the successor to the Annual Christmas Fair, which was a significant community and social event in the North Lisburn area for almost three decades.

The Family Fun Day will be opened by the Mayor of Lisburn at 10am and will provide a wide variety of entertainment and enjoyment. Above all, the event will provide a joyful meeting place for people in the community.

As well as stalls selling cakes, bric-a-brac etc, several organisations will be using the opportunity to promote their activities.

Christian Aid will be holding a Fair Trade stall and the Mothers’ Union and the uniformed organisations will display information about their aims and objectives.

There will be a host of activities for children – balloon shaping, face painting and games. A very special feature of the event will be the appearance of the well-known Belfast artist Martin Kenny who will be using his talents at sketching and involving the children in various types of art work.
