Family History Meeting in Coleraine

The topic will be ‘Adding a story to Your Family Tree’ with guest speaker Mike McKeag. The talk will focus on expanding a family tree into a family history by adding to the skeleton, dates of birth, marriage and death and adding some flesh, in the form of biographical details about the person and contextual information about that person’s life - and where to find that information.

Mike is and active member of the Society having held several posts and duties, currently Vice President of The North of Ireland Family History Society. He is also on the editorial team of The Society’s twice yearly published Journal, North Irish Roots, he has a long and varied history of contribution to The Society’s activities.

The meeting will conclude with light refreshments and a chance to share research interests with members. Guests and visitors are welcome to attend with a token door charge of £3.
