Family History Resources in Belfast Public Library

THE APRIL meeting of the Ballymena Branch of the North of Ireland Family History Society will be a talk given by Catherine Morrow, Heritage Services Manager, Ulster and Irish Dept Belfast Central Library in Royal Avenue, Belfast.

Catherine is an expert in this field and if you are new to genealogy she will be pleased to help you access records which are not available in your local library and which will certainly help in your research.

The Ulster and Irish Dept has one of the best collections of local and Irish material available to the general public and has extensive specialist resources.

The Newspaper Library has the largest collection of local newspapers anywhere in Northern Ireland.

It contains a major collection of historical newspapers, including virtually complete runs of The Belfast Telegraph, the Northern Whig, the Irish News and the Belfast News Letter.

Everyone is welcome to come along to this meeting and discover a wealth of historical information available in one of Belfast’s best known public buildings.

This most interesting talking is being held on Thursday, April 25 at 7.15pm in The Braid Arts Centre, 1-29 Bridge Street, Ballymena.

Entrance fee is £1/£3 members /non-members.
