Family history society seeking ‘Miss Moffett’

THE March meeting of the Ballymena Branch of the North of Ireland Family History Society will be an evening of conjecture.

And the question is: “Was Edith Moffet married or not?”

Why are some marriage records missing or not accessible? Was a pretend married name used? Was the information given accepted with no questions asked or did she not actually get around to tying the knot?

The answer to these questions may lie in this talk which will be given by Mr. Ronald Moffet on Thursday, March 29 in the Braid Arts Centre.
