Famous folk to strut the forum stage

ONE of the theatrical highlights of the year will arrive at the Millennium Forum for a week-long run from Tuesday, October 12.

If you can’t wait until then for some ‘Fame fever’, tune into RT 1 on Sunday evenings to see two former Millennium Forum stars follow their dream of landing a much coveted role in this brand new production.

RT’s search for the two leads in the forthcoming Irish production of Fame The Musical began on Sunday past and will continue on our screens for the next few weeks.

Viewers of last week’s show will know that two talented performers, Londonderrymen, Kieran Griffiths and Conleth Kane, who local audiences will recognise as ‘Aladdin’ in the Millennium Forum’s 2009 panto, sailed through the first round of auditions.

Both have made it to ‘Fame School’ where each contestant will now be put through their paces before being whittled down to the final 12 to battle it out during the final live shows.

With fabulous sets and costumes and a top production team, this subsequent live stage show, featuring the TV show winners, promises to be a spectacular event.

So whether you're a fan of the original 1980s film or have just discovered this phenomenon with the 2009 movie remake, you are guaranteed an incredible evening's entertainment.

Fame The Musical will arrive at the Millennium Forum from Tuesday 12th to Sunday 17th October. Tickets are already on sale now from the Box Office. Telephone 71 264455 or visit www.millenniumforum.co.uk for bookings.
