Fancy owning your own time machine?

The fictional hoverboards from the film might still be years away from becoming reality but one thing that is very much part of the present day is the symbolic DeLorean DMC-12 car.

The DeLorean DMC-12, which was made in Belfast, was used as a time machine in the ‘Back to the Future’ franchise and there’s a 1981 model for sale outside Moira in Co. Down.

Marty and Doc famously travelled through time in the customised DeLorean DMC-12 IN 1989. Only about 9,000 DeLorean DMC-12s were made between 1981 and 1983 and the rare cars have become a collector’s item ever since.

A seller in Moira, Co. Down, has put up his red 1981 DMC-12 for sale on Gumtree. The asking price is £25,000.
