Fancy yourself as the next Victoria Beckham?

HAVE you got a passion for fashion design and think you could create an outfit with the ‘wow factor’, then this is for you!

This year, in celebration of Diet Coke’s 30th anniversary, the team are looking for entrants to use their raw talent to design a unique garment inspired by the past 30 years of fashion i.e. ‘80s, ‘90s or ‘00s.

Three shortlisted finalists will have their design created by Una Rodden and each will be showcased on the A/W Belfast FASHIONWEEK catwalk. The winning design will be announced at Fashionweek by a team of judges with the winner receiving a place on a highly coveted fashion course at the London School of Fashion including flights and accommodation as well as a photoshoot with fashion photographer Khara Pringle.

Roseanna McReynolds, from Stewartstown, won the contest in 2011 and contest organisers are keen to see what other design talent Tyrone has to offer. Anyone can enter, whether you’re a student, mum or simply a keen fashionista with a flair for design!

Director of FASHIONWEEK Cathy Martin sauid: “The competition is perfect for anyone with an interest in fashion and/or design. Perhaps you are a fashion student or graduate or maybe you’re a busy working mum or dad and it’s a hobby on the side, either way we want to hear from you. The first ever winner of the Diet Coke Design Award in 2010 was a banker who loved tweaking dresses in her spare time. She worked with Una Rodden to create a catwalk-worthy, stunning dress and really enjoyed her time at London College of Fashion doing a course in Structured Lingerie.”
