Kerry matched food sourced by the charity FareShare with £400 of funding from Ballymena PSNI’s local initiative budget.

In August 2013, the Simon Community requested food from FareShare’s Belfast Depot which is operated by the Council for the Homeless NI (CHNI).

By working with over 40 local food suppliers and producers, CHNI FareShare rescues surplus food from landfill and redistributes it organisations which work with needy and vulnerable people throughout Northern Ireland.

The PSNI then supplemented FareShare’s donation of surplus food with £400.
