Now in their fifth year, the awards continue to thrive and this year the Ramada Plaza at Shaws Bridge will be the venue for the gala awards night with around 300 people expected to attend.

Among the highlights on the night will be the presentation of a number of special awards which recognise the contributions made by individuals to their field of expertise over many years.

The Farming Champion, sponsored by the Ulster Farmers’ Union, and The Lifetime Achievement Award, sponsored by Danske Bank, are always eagerly anticipated and this year will be no different.

The ever-popular Victoria Square is sponsoring the award for the best dressed lady with a £500 gift card up for grabs along with the exciting opportunity to work with a personal stylist.

A spokesperson for Victoria Square said: “Our prize of a £500 gift card will go to one lucky winner plus the opportunity to spend two hours with our very own personal stylist, Katherin Farries.”

Farming Life readers have had their say in deciding one category – the Unsung Hero Award. Readers have been busy voting for their winner from the four finalists who have featured in the paper over the last few weeks.

You can follow developments on the night on the Farming Life website – www.farminglife.com – on Twitter (search for #FLDBAwards15) or Facebook (FarmingLifeNI) as the winners are revealed.
