Fatal collision

A MAN has died following a road traffic accident at Ballyarnet village.

Police investigating the fatal collision have appealed for witnesses to the incident.

At approximately 12.20am today, Thursday, May 3, the police received a report of a collision between two vehicles. The male driver of one of the vehicles has died as a result of the collision.

Police in Strand Road would like to speak to anyone who was in the Ballyarnet Village between midnight and 12.30am on this date and who may have witnessed what happened. Due to a fatal RTC the Racecourse Road at As at lunchtime Alder Road junction remained closed up towards Ballyarnet village and motorists were advised to seek alternative routes.
