Fatal collision - man in court

A 32-year-old Bushmills man has appeared in court on a charge of causing the death of another man by driving without due care and attention.

Michael James Sharpe of 11 Revallagh Road, made a first appearance at a sitting of North Antrim Magistrates Court last Wednesday.

Sharpe was bailed to appear at Antrim Crown Court on November 25.

His defence team said they had no objections to a Preliminary Enquiry.

The accused’s bail was set at 500 without any conditions.

An Ahoghill businessman, Maurice Logan, died following a collision on February 1, 2009 near Dunseverick.
