Festival of Remembrance

The hugely popular annual Royal British Legion Festival of Remembrance returns to the Waterside Theatre for its 14th year.

It will take place on Friday, November 6, a 7.30pm and tickets are £10.

This year the event will be compered by Gary Wilson, and the concert will features a host of local talent, including Kildoag Pipe Band, Longtower Choir, David McBeth and The Hamilton Flute Band, who will be last on stage.

The variety concert will be followed by a short interdenominational Service of Remembrance, which will include input from the Army Cadets and clergy and all profits are in aid of the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal.

There will be a Poppy Shop open during the evening, selling memorabilia including Buckley Brooches which are the new official ladies brooches for 2015.
