Festival organisers are praised
ORGANISERS of last weekend's North Lurgan Community Festival have been praised for their hard work.
Sinn Fin Councillor Noel McGeown congratulated all involved with the festival which took place in the Lord Lurgan Memorial Park last Saturday.
He said: “This event, which was funded by Co-Operation Ireland, was the result of a group effort between the youth of North Lurgan, North Lurgan Community Association and the St Peter’s and Clann Eireann GAA clubs. The time and effort these groups put into organising the festival produced an enjoyable day out for everyone and I would like to congratulate them on the success of their project.
“This was an event which is well worth repeating and I hope this group are successful in securing funding for a similar occasion next year.”
