Festive Fry Up raises over £17,000

THE Festive Family Fry Up held in St Saviour’s Church in Dollingstown proved to a huge success, raising over £17,000 for Charlene’s Project.

Ulster Unionist MLA Jo-Anne Dobson attended the Fry Up along with over 600 people who came along to support this worthy cause.

Mrs Dobson said: “What a fantastic morning it was at the annual Big Festive Fry up supporting Charlene’s Project in Dollingstown.

“It was heartwarming to see how well it was supported with hundreds being served a delicious festive fry.

“I send my congratulations to all the team for arranging another magnificent fundraiser. This terrific support is evidence of the high regard which Dickie and Janice Barr and their family are held in.

“I had the privilege of knowing Charlene, as she attended school with my son Elliott. I watched her grow into the inspirational young woman who touched so many people’s lives in her own short life, leaving a lasting legacy that I and others will continue to support.”
