Festive market for town

LOCAL traders are being urged to join up for the Lurgan 400 festive Christmas Market.

Taking place on Saturday, December 18, Carnegie Street will turn into a winter wonderland with a couple of dozen of market stalls offering a fantastic range of inspired crafts and gifts for the creative Christmas shopper and glorious, heart warming food for all to enjoy.

The market will compliment the wide range of shops and boutiques in and around Lurgan and there will also be music, entertainment, festive walkabout Christmas characters and a special visit from Mrs Claus herself!

The day will finish with a Christmas carnival lantern parade which will light up Lurgan and celebrate the up-coming holiday season.

Mayor of Craigavon Alderman Stephen Moutray, said: “The Lurgan 400 Christmas Market is the finale of a year long series of events which have celebrated Lurgan’s 400th birthday and shown how much our vibrant town has to offer.

"I would urge all local food and craft stall holders to sign up, take part and deck their stalls with bows of holly for what promises to be a spectacular fun-filled family day out!”

Application forms are currently available for potential stall holders hoping to take part in the Christmas market.
