The Volunteer Now organisation’s “Christmas Connections” campaign is encouraging greater involvement in a one-off or short volunteering opportunity as part of festive celebrations.

Volunteer Now says that many charities and community organisations need extra help around Christmas, adding that it’s the “perfect time to give volunteering a go and to benefit from the feel-good factor it offers”.

From Santa’s helpers at a charity grotto or fair, wrapping gifts at a shopping centre or even looking after an animal over the holidays - giving as little as an hour of your time can make a huge difference to an organisation or a cause, according to the organisation.

Take a moment to visit the “volunteer search panel” on the Volunteer Now homepage www.volunteernow.co.uk and choose “Christmas Connections” from the activity list.
