Fewest kids on protection list
THE Western Trust had the fewest number of children on the child protection register of any Northern Ireland health authority at the end of last year.
Health Minister Edwin Poots revealed 283 children were on the protection register and deemed at risk on December 31, 2012.
The information was taken from a Community Information Branch Quarterly return.
He warned that the figures were provisional and potentially subject to change before publication.
