‘Fight to save Lisgarel’, local people are urged

The impassioned plea comes after the Northern Health and Social Care Trust announced its intention to close all of its residential care homes as part of sweeping reforms of elderly care provision.

And in the wake of the shock proposals, Lisgarel residents have been left to ponder the very real possibility they will have to find somewhere else to live.

The Trust has now launched a consultation on the plans, and those who feel strongly about the proposed closure of Lisgarel are being urged to make their voices heard in a bid to overturn the decision.
