Final rehearsals for Garvey Youth

The young members of Lisnagarvey Youth Society are putting the final touches to their latest production, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, which will be staged at the Island Hall next week.

The company have been rehearsing over the summer for their new colourful show, which is certain to delight audiences when it starts its run next Thursday (September 1).

Newcomer to the company, Michael Nevin, will be stepping into the amazing technicolor dreamcoat when he takes on the role of Joseph.

He will be joined on stage by a fantastic supporting cast, including narrators Sian McCullough, Nicole Bell, Anna Farrelly and Naomi Lloyd, and Joseph’s brothers, who are being played by Rhys Waterworth, Cameron Beattie, Demi Weir, Hannah Bridge, Ben Parker, Lucy Nettleship, Anna Lenzi, Amy Galashan, Molly Henton, Grace Conroy, and Charlotte Houston.

The role of Jacob will be played by Ben Armstrong, and Harry Blaney will take on the part of Pharaoh.

The principal cast will also be joined by a fantastic ensemble of singers, dancers and actors, who will fill the stage with sound and colour.

The enduring musical was written by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice, and continues to be one of the most popular of all time, retelling the biblical story of Joseph, his brothers, and their unexpected journey into Egypt.

Directing the show are Simon Pyper and Andrew Devonshire, along with musical Director Geoffrey Cherry, and Choreographers Rea Campbell and Michelle Chambers.

The show will run at the Island Hall from September 1 - 3 and tickets, priced £10, are on sale now from the Box Office on 02892 509254.
