Find friends and fellowship at the ‘Home League’

ARE you looking for friends, fellowship and fun?

If so, you might enjoy the Home League, which takes place every Tuesday night at the Salvation Army building in Waring Street.

Talking about what goes on each week, one of the organisers said: “The Home League started off as a ladies meeting but now men are welcome too.”

“Each week begins with a cup of tea. We then have an informal meeting with games and songs; then we have a spiritual thought.

“Occasionally, visiting speakers from organisations such as Triangle Housing and Woman’s Aid come along and share a little bit about their role in the community”, she added.

Ten to 15 people currently attend the Home League in Ballymena, which gets underway ever week at 7.30pm and is usually over by 8.30/9pm.

Encouraging people to come along, the spokesperson went on to say: “It’s an evening out where you get to meet different folk. Some of them are not churchgoers; you don’t have to dress up and it is very informal.”
