Fine and penalty points for offence

After police stopped a Lurgan man for breach of a traffic sign they found that three of the tyres on his car were defective.

Twenty one year old Gary McKinstry, Dingwell Park, was fined £50, with three penalty points for breach of a traffic sign on December 7.

He was also fined £50 on each of three charges of having a defective tyre on the same date.

The court heard that he was seen to make a right turn in breach of a traffic sign in Edward Street, Lurgan.

Mr Conor Downey, representing the defendant, said McKinstry had attended to the problem of the tyres.
