Fine and points for Bushmills man

A COMPUTER programmer from Bushmills has been given penalty points and a fine.

Richard Stringer (23) of Castlecat Road, appeared before North Antrim Magistrates’ Court on Friday charged with speeding.

Police using a radar device detected Stringer travelling at 60 miles per hour, 30 miles in excess of the speed limit.

A solicitor said client accepted that he was travelling faster that he should have been.

District Judge Richard Wilson warned Stringer about his speed and fined him 75. He also placed three penalty points on his licence.
