Fined for cannabis possession
A fine of £350 was imposed on a Lurgan man last Friday at Craigavon Magistrates Court for possession of herbal cannabis on December 17.
He was 23-year-old Paul Robert Benson, Glenavon Crescent, Lurgan, and he admitted the offence.
The court heard he was stopped at Greenhill Park and searched under the Misuse of Drugs Act. He handed over a small quantity of herbal cannabis which he said cost him approximately £10.

District Judge, Mr Peter King, pointed out that Benson had been fined £150 on December 4 last year for possession and on December 17 he had thought it a good idea to buy a class B drug.
