Fined for disorderly behaviour

A 19-year-old man was fined £250 last Friday at Craigavon Magistrates Court for disorderly behaviour.

Paul Campbell, from Enniskeen in Craigavon, was also ordered to pay a £15 offender’s levy.

The court heard that at 2am on August 21 this year, police were called to a disturbance in the Birchdale Manor area of Lurgan. Campbell was shouting and swearing and when police spoke to him he told them to “f**k off”.

A barrister representing the defendant said Campbell had been at a party with a friend. He said his client’s behaviour was totally unacceptable and that Campbell has a difficulty under the influence of alcohol.

District Judge Peter King said the defendant had been in court in 2015 for disorderly behaviour and assault on police and regrettably he was back again.
