Fined for failing to report an accident
After he was involved in an accident a Lurgan man drove on and failed to report what happened to police.
He was 55 year old Maurice Fitzsimmons, Lurgantarry, and last Friday at Craigavon Magistrates Court he was fined £50, with five penalty points, for failing to report an accident on November 15 last year.
He was also fined £50 on charges of driving without due care and attention, failing to remain and failing to stop.
A solicitor for the defendant said he already had six points on his licence. He cared for his elderly mother and took her to appointments.
