Fined for unauthorised advertisement

A LONDONDERRY man was has been fined £500 and ordered to pay court costs of £70 and legal costs of £19, at Londonderry Magistrates' Court for displaying an unauthorised advertisement.

He was Declan Harley of Abercorn Road, who was charged with the unauthorised advertisement of his business, Citi Memorials at 33b Abercorn Road, Londonderry.

Planning Service brought the charges under Article 84 of the Planning (NI) Order 1991, which states it is an offence to display an advertisement without consent.
