Fined £100 for doing 40mph in a 30 zone

Margaret Rowntree (54), whose address 
was given to the court as South Street, 
Portadown, also received three 
points and was ordered to pay a £15 offender’s 
levy.

The court heard that on October 10 last year she was detected travelling at 40 miles per hour in a 30mph zone on 
the Armagh Road, Portadown.

Mr Joe McDonald, representing the defendant, said she had been driving since she was 17 years of age.

He said there was a
lack of concentration on this occasion.

For not producing her driving licence she was given an absolute 
discharge.
