Fined £350 and banned for six months

FINES totalling £350 and a driving ban of six months were imposed on a 46-year-old man at North Antrim Magistrates Court last Wednesday.

Kevin McToal, of 15A Altnahinch Road, Armoy, was charged with not having a driving licence, not having a Vehicle Test Certificate, driving without insurance and failing to produce a driving licence. The offences took place at Knockahollet Road, Ballymoney, on January 15.

Defendant, who did not appear in court and was not professionally represented, was said to have been stopped driving a Ford Focus. He was then required to produce driving licence and insurance within seven days, but did not do so.

District Judge, Mr. Richard Wilson, fined McToal 200 with a six-month driving ban for having no insurance and 75 each on the driving licence and Test Certificate summonses. Mr. Wilson adjourned the failing to produce driving licence summons.
