Fines for 'litter bugs'

CRAIGAVON Borough Council is continuing to target offending litter bugs throughout the Borough and this has resulted in the following cases being heard at Craigavon Magistrates Court on Monday, September 13:

Marie McCaughley, 23b Garland Avenue, Lurgan, deposited six bags of domestic waste at the Bayshore car park, Derrymore on September 21, 2009. Fined 150 plus 101 costs.

Peter Owen Magill, 51 Cherrywood Grove, Newry, deposited McDonald’s fast food packaging at Rushmere Shopping Centre car park on October 21, 2009. Fined 75 plus 101 costs

Leonard Kelly, 9 Parknasilla Crescent, Aghagallon, deposited a cigarette butt at Church Place, Lurgan on April 14, 2010. Fined 50 plus 88 costs.

Patricia Dirom, 23 Oakdene Park, Bleary, deposited a cigarette butt at Lake Road, Craigavon on January 20, 2010. Fined 20 plus 88 costs.

Ruby Russell, 24 Colban Crescent, Lurgan, deposited a cigarette butt at Tesco car park, Lurgan on March 19, 2010. Fined 60 plus 88 costs.
