Sean Glackin (55), of Graham Street, pleaded guilty to possessing a CS gas canister on January 1

At Lisburn Magistrates Court, District Judge Hamill was due to sentence the defendant for this offence, however Glackin was handed a fine default charge for failing to pay a fine from a previous conviction.

Judge Hamill said that until this fine was paid he would not be sentencing the defendant for this latest offence.

The case was adjourned to October 17 for Glackin to pay the outstanding fine and receive a sentence for the January 1 offence. Judge Hamill warned the defendant to bring money with him to pay any new fine up front, “as much as he can get.”
