Finlay condemns attack on Protestant home in Finvoy

It is believed the windows were smashed in and an attempt was made to take down the flag on display at the house.

Commenting Councillor Finlay said: “I totally condemn those responsible for this appalling incident where the windows of the home of a Protestant were smashed in and an attempt was made by those responsible to take down the flag.

“I believe that this incident was blatantly sectarian and that it was carried out by Republicans.

“I call on anyone with information to bring it forward to the PSNI.

“We must stamp this sort of sectarian behaviour out of our society.

“No one deserves to be subject to the intimidation these people were last night. They are the ones left with the aftermath of cleaning up and live their lives in peace.” said the local DUP councillor.
